Privacy Policy

Who we are

This policy explains how Authentic Building & Roofing Ltd ("we", "us") handles personal information sent to us through this website. We are a roofing and building business based in Essex, and we are responsible for the information you give us.

What we collect

When you use the contact or quote form, we collect the details you choose to give us:

• your name
• your phone number
• your email address (optional)
• your postcode
• the service you are interested in
• the details of your project or any message you write

Why we use it

We use these details only to reply to your enquiry, arrange a site visit if you want one, and give you a quote. We will not send you marketing you have not asked for.

Our lawful basis

Under UK GDPR we rely on two lawful bases. The first is our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us about work. The second is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, such as visiting the property and preparing a quote.

Who we share it with

Form submissions are sent to us by email using FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a third-party form delivery service that passes your message on to our email inbox. Our emails are then held with our email provider. We do not store form submissions in a website database. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry. If we quoted for work, we may keep a record of the enquiry and quote for up to 2 years, then delete it.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, and to object to us using it. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond as soon as we can.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at https://ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
